7 Tips for Perfect Natural Curls - How to Care for Them?
Moisture is the #1 enemy of curly hair! Hairs stick out as soon as you finish bathing, so dealing with them starts EVEN BEFORE you get out of the shower!
Here we have prepared some proven tips and a comprehensive product solution to make curly hair irresistible.
Tip #1: Always use a suitable shampoo for curly hair that hydrates and gently cleanses the hair. It is very important to thoroughly clean the hair of styling product residues.
We recommend Redken Curvaceous shampoo - it cleanses and at the same time maintains hair hydration without weighing it down. The special formula with sugar crystals, moringa oil and UV filters will make your hair vibrant and easy to style.
Tip #2: Consider a more intensive treatment by applying a mask regularly and leaving it on your hair for at least 5 minutes.
Here are some of our favorite masks - Clean Beauty ANTI-FRIZZ Leave-in Treatment from Paul Mitchell, Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment deep nourishing mask, Redken ALL Soft Heavy Cream softening mask.
Tip #3: Use conditioner every time you wash your hair and leave it on for as long as possible, at least 2-3 minutes. Then rinse it, but not completely.
Here is our recommendation - conditioner for curly hair from Redken Curvaceous, and if your hair is thicker, heavier and unruly, then I recommend the conditioner from the Frizz Dismiss series by Redken.
IMPORTANT! Always use hair conditioner, even if you have already applied a mask. Conditioners have an acidic formula that smooths the hair surface - they close the hair cuticles, which reduces hair frizz and protects the inside of the hair.
Tip #4: If you need to comb your hair, do it BEFORE you dry it. Don't forget to comb your hair from bottom to top before rinsing the conditioner, this will help you detangle every knot.
Tip #5: After showering, limit the use of a hairdryer (even with a diffuser), as this can dry out the hair and lead to breakage. This will only worsen the situation with unruly hairs. It may sound strange, but put the towel back in the closet - rough fibers can lift the cuticles (the outer layer of the hair) and create chaos. Instead, use a microfiber towel or even an old t-shirt. If you still decide to use a hairdryer, be sure to use a diffuser and don't forget to lower the temperature and set the airflow to the lowest speed to avoid uncontrolled hair blowing and frizz.
Tip #6: Style and finish with a nourishing oil for extra hydration.
Here, Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling treatment oil is a great choice.
Use a wide-tooth comb to let your curls form naturally. Don't overdo it with styling products, a natural look is the most beautiful.
Tip #7: If you want to use a hair straightener, set the temperature between 175 and 205 degrees, but no higher. Always use a heat protection product before straightening.

Indeed, it takes a little more time, but if you follow these tips, your curls will thank you with the beauty you have dreamed of. Who would refuse natural, shaped, elegant, and playful curls!
