What do you do after the first shower, and how do you care for the color to keep it brilliant day after day?

I recommend purple shampoo to my clients for two reasons:

First, it helps combat unwanted yellowish and orange undertones that can appear when washing bleached hair. Well, I admit, it's not a miracle product – purple shampoo cannot lighten hair, and if it's dyed in a darker or distinctly orange tone, it won't lighten it. But if your stylist has achieved an elegant blonde, platinum, or silver hair tone, this shampoo will help you preserve the beauty of the color.

Second, purple shampoo helps you deal with hair roots by dulling the color difference between dyed hair and growing roots. This keeps your hair looking fresh and beautiful for longer.

How to use purple shampoo to keep the color beautiful and fresh?

Here are a few tips from me:

• The first time you use purple shampoo, mix it with a little of your regular shampoo to test its strength. Nobody wants to come out of the shower with purple hair!
• Alternate purple shampoo with a moisturizing one. You probably won't need to use the toning effect with every wash, and it's also important to hydrate and nourish your hair to keep it healthy and strong.
• On that note, don't use purple shampoo every time you wash your hair. If you overdo it, the ash tones can become too strong, and your hair might lose its shine. I recommend using it with every wash until you achieve the desired color, then using it every third wash.
• Start by applying it to the ends of your hair and gradually work your way up to the roots. Then, be careful how long you leave the purple shampoo in your hair before rinsing – monitor the time carefully and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
• When styling your hair, avoid the highest temperatures, as they will affect the tone imparted by the purple shampoo.
